2026 October summary

October, more like Oct-over, amirite?

I finally managed to shift my sleep time by 1 hour (from 22h to 5h), which allowed me to spend more time working out in the morning, while still able to do laundry before work.

I decided to separate the rewrite of pensiv (static site generator that builds this website) to a new, separate repo. The rewrite is intended to be something much more modular and the base is more of a framework than the monolithic generator as it is currently.

However, this November I'm likely to focus on the implementation of Telex input method for Florisboard. My current biggest obstacle is that I cannot figure out how to compile an Android app on Alpine Linux. I have tried to delegate it to builds.sr.ht but without success. I'll look into how it's built on the project CI on GitHub to see if I can follow.

My conlang project is currently on hold. I am a bit dissatisfied with the current orthography and phonology, and the syntax is not much more than "what if Japanese-style head-final but without the topic markers". I am thinking a bit about incorporating directional words to express different aspects of verbs in a similiar manner Vietnamese does (though it also makes me think of English phrasal verbs).
